Federal Aviation Regulations

The Federal Aviation Regulations, frequently abbreviated as the FARs, are rules prescribed by the Federal Aviation Administration governing all aviation activities in the United States. The FARs are part of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). The regulations rule a variety of activities including aircraft design, airline operations, commercial and non-commercial flights, pilot training activities, and aerial sports and demonstrations.
Organization
The FARs are organized into sections (Parts) based on their organization within the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Each Part deals with a specific type of activity.
